Advair Side Effects – Commonalities and Their Effects
Most drugs, if not all have one or more side effects. More so, the severity of the advair side effects varies from one individual to another. Some people may experience mild side effects while others could go through excruciating effects from the drugs. Some of the most common Advair side effects include dizziness, mild bone or muscle pain, headache, nervousness, vomiting, tremor and throat irritation. However, these are only but the mild side effects. There are others that are more severe than these, and they tend to last longer. One of the more severe Advair side effects is associated with allergic reactions. Essentially, those who are already allergic to some things may find that this drug elevates the intensity of the allergy. On the other hand, those who do not have any allergies will find that they develop these allergies.
One of the most common allergic reactions is tightness in the chest. Normally, the patient may experience breathing difficulties, hives, rashes, itching and swelling of the lips as well as the face. Other than the allergic reactions, there are more side effects of Advair. Some patients have reported a decline in their vision acuity. In fact, prolonged use of the Advair inhaler can affect how well you see things. You may think that you need glasses because things that you used to see relatively easily at night, you are having difficulty seeing them now. On the other hand, while you could see relatively distant objects before you started using the Advair inhaler; you may now find it difficult to see them. This problem can also be experienced in how much visual focus you can maintain on an object.
Another common side effect associated with Advair is an increase in the amount of mucus you produce, which may also be coupled with a change in color. This might give you the impression that you have caught a cold or are about to catch one. A change in the color of your mucus is one of the most evident side effects of Advair. However, producing mucus could be as a result of a cold or something else that is not even remotely related to Advair use. This means that you will be using more handkerchiefs than you always do. Having trouble sleeping is also a common side effect associated with Advair. Generally, the patient will notice that he or she is spending more and more time awake at night. For instance, maybe after a hard day’s work, it took him or her just a few minutes to fall asleep. However, after he or she started taking Advair, he or she is spending more and more time awake trying to catch some sleep. White patches on your tongue are also common side effects. Another side effect of Advair that many people have reported is general muscle weakness. After using Advair, some patients have reported a feeling of generally weakness than on a normal day. This feeling of lethargy can compel you to sleep all the time. You may also notice that you are less energetic than normal. This will be evident in the amount of physical work that you can do. For instance, you may find it quite demanding to complete simple tasks that you did not have a problem since you started taking Advair.
Some patients have also reported a significant spike in their high blood pressure. This usually manifests itself through increased thirst. Normally, you will notice that you are drinking more water than you always do. This excessive consumption of water means that you will urinate frequently. Another high blood pressure symptom that many patients on Advair have reported is increased hunger intervals and unusual lightheadedness. Fast and irregular heartbeats (palpitations) are other common Advair side effects. You will find that you have to breathe faster than normal when these palpitations strike. You may also see other signs of infections such as persistent sore throats, fever and even pains in the ear. Some women who use Advair have complained about vaginal disorder and discharge. However, this usually slowly, then picks up later. Normally, they only see and feel the difference when they are washing their undergarments; as time goes by, the odor becomes stronger and the discharge becomes heavier to the point that they have to change their underwear twice, sometimes three times per day. If the patient is also suffering from asthma, he or she may experience an increase in the symptoms of asthma. This could be through an increase in the tightness of the chest, and regular sever coughing as well as sneezing, wheezing and shortness of breath.
Another severe side effect of Advair is a decrease in the patient’s immunity. The body’s immunity is its ability to defend itself against diseases. There are many times when your body gets infected by some diseases but you may not even notice this. This is because the moment the disease causing microorganisms (called pathogens) infect the body, the body’s immune system fights them without you having to use any medication. However, when you use Advair, you will find that your body’s immune system is somehow weakened. You will notice this by an increase in the number of infections that you get over a short period of time. These infections are usually not severe but they can cause a lot of discomfort. Some of these minor infections include colds, measles and chicken pox. If the patient is already suffering from measles, he or she will notice that the symptoms of the disease worsen by the day. Lower bone density is also a side effect associated with Advair. However, this problem is experienced more in people who already have a case of low bone density (osteoporosis). In children, the most common Advair side effect is slow growth. Their height, weight and general body growth will be much slower in than in normal children, i.e. children who do not use Advair. Although this drug has a myriad of side of effects, the extent to which these effects are experienced, it all depends on the individual physiological adaptation.
